The spokesman said that he interacted with them to inquire of their health, etc. Superintendent Naini Jail-H. B. Singh, Medical Officer and other staff were present during the visit. 14 out of the 16 detenues werehaving no health-related issues and two were under treatment for some minor health issues.
He said that V K Singh was informed that the detenues are regularly having mulakat with their relatives and regular health check-ups are conducted. In case(s) of health issues; the detenues are provided proper medication under the supervision ofDoctors.
At present 198 detenues from J&K are lodged in six jailsof Uttar Pradesh. V.K. Singh appreciated the efforts of UP jail authorities toenable mulakat& for providing proper health care to the detenues in need,said the spokesman.
Earlier this year, DGP Prisons, J&K visited UttarPradesh Prison Headquarter, Central Jail Varanasi and District Jail Lucknow.
